The Cayman Turtle Centre in West Bay offers unique educational and interactive animal-based activities. Since 1968, the Centre has released over 36,000 captive-bred sea turtles to help replenish Cayman’s wild population. Dedicated to the conservation and education of the Green sea turtle, the Centre is home to turtles of all ages, from six-ounce hatchlings to 500-pound adults.
During your visit, you can explore exhibits, learn about the breeding and rearing process, touch and snorkel with turtles and reef fish, swim in the freshwater pool, and visit hatchlings during nesting season. You'll also encounter local wildlife, such as flora along the nature trail, Cayman Parrots in the Caribbean Aviary, and sharks in Predator Reef.
Visitors can feed birds and turtles, snorkel with turtles, and enjoy the waterfalls and Turtle Twister waterslide. Capture memorable photos in the turtle touch tanks, swim or snorkel with yearling green sea turtles, hand-feed birds in the aviary, and watch the Predator Reef Feeding Frenzy.
Enjoy lunch at the restaurant overlooking the lagoon with the resident peafowl family, then swim in the Island’s largest pool, featuring waterfalls, an underwater viewing panel, and the Turtle Twister waterslide.
Resident Entry Prices
The resident rate for adults is CI$15 and CI$10 for children 12 years and under with free admission for children two years and under. There is a courtesy shuttle bus that picks up guests from hotels along Seven Mile Beach or plenty of parking if you drive.
