About
Mount Kelly is a co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 4-18 in Devon, UK. If you like the outdoors, have a sense of adventure and are keen to take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way then Mount Kelly is the school for you.
Their spectacular location means that they are well known for their strong commitment to co-curricular activities and they encourage all pupils to take part whether it be camping on the moor, paddling a canoe or riding waves on a surfboard. They call it the Mount Kelly spirit; an attitude to life that develops at the school, one that allows pupils to really experience the life-defining educational experience that are promised.
The Prep sets out to make childhood last as long as possible, whilst developing pupils’ independence along the way. A healthy balance of time is given to core academic subjects whilst promoting the importance of sport and creative subjects such as drama, art, music and DT. Learning beyond the classroom includes regular trips and activities to bring the curriculum to life.
The College has a high standard of academic schooling and proven track record in public examination results, with over 85% of pupils gaining top places at the Russell Group, Oxford, Cambridge, Bath, St Andrews and Loughborough universities.
The School has an internationally recognised coaching facility for swimming with a four lane 25m pool and an eight lane 50m pool and has had alumni in the Olympic and Paralympic games.
The Girls Performance Football team, affiliated with Chelsea Football Club, won the National Final of the ISFA U18 Girls’ Cup 2024 and the Chelsea Foundation Cup 2024.
The success of Mount Kelly swimmers and footballers creates a culture in which the level of commitment and dedication required to excel are not considered out of the ordinary but are qualities to which everyone can aspire.
