About
St. Andrew’s College (SAC) is an independent, all-boys preparatory school for Grades 5-12. Founded in 1899 and located 40 minutes north of Toronto in the town of Aurora, their 126-acre campus is home to a mix of 650 boarding and day students.
SAC offers a rigorous academic curriculum with multiple Advanced Placement (AP) opportunities and a rich, activity-based educational environment. A wireless tablet programme adds to the learning experience, incorporating the latest technology into the classroom.
They welcome boys from around the world with strong academic backgrounds who also want to become active members of the community.
As set out in their mission statement, SAC’s academic programme is complemented by a wide range of co-curricular activities designed to develop ‘the complete man, the well-rounded citizen.’ All students participate in their extensive athletic programme (74 teams across 21 sports) and the 118-year-old Cadet Corps. Many of the students also choose to participate in SAC’s internationally acclaimed arts, drama, and music programmes and are active in photography, broadcasting, robotics, community outreach, leadership and more.
A St. Andrew’s education is like no other. Graduates gain entry to top universities in Canada, the U.S. and abroad. They are renowned for their strong values, dedication to the community, lasting achievements and lifelong friendships.
St. Andrew's graduates have a 100% acceptance rate to reputable universities around the world. Each graduate receives four acceptances on average, demonstrating exceptional academic achievements and dedication. Additionally, graduates receive over US$1 million in university scholarships annually, recognising their outstanding accomplishments.
The majority of graduates, 70%, attend Canadian universities such as the University of Toronto, McGill University, the University of British Columbia, Western University, Queen’s University and others. Another 20% of graduates attend prestigious universities in the United States, including Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Cornell, Boston University, Johns Hopkins and Harvard. The remaining 10% of graduates attend international universities such as the University of St Andrews, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Sydney, Imperial College London and other world-renowned institutions.
