Description
The Maples Group Non-legal Scholarship is intended to provide opportunities for appropriately qualified Caymanians to pursue under-graduate or post-graduate degree courses at recognised colleges or universities. The Maples Group Non-legal Scholarship is awarded for an amount of up to US$15,000 per academic year payable towards tuition, books and accommodation throughout the duration of the course.
Terms & Conditions
- Must be Caymanian / Caymanian Status Holder.
- Should normally be less than 25 years old for under-graduate studies.
- Should normally be less than 30 years old for post-graduate studies.
- Must have been offered a place (either conditionally or unconditionally) to read for a degree at a recognised college or university commencing at the start of the relevant academic year.
- Scholarship is not intended to cover the entire cost of the course and candidates will be expected to make some contribution from their own financial resources.
- The candidate is expected to pursue their degree course diligently with an appropriate degree of success (typically a 3.25 GPA minimum);
- The candidate will be expected to keep the Maples Group informed of their progress on a term by term basis and provide the Maples Group with copies of examination results and any assessments or reports that may be requested of them.
- The Maples Group reserves the right to terminate the scholarship of a student in exceptional circumstances, upon failure to achieve the minimum success level or if the student ceases to pursue the course for any reason.
- Where appropriate, payments will be made directly to the relevant academic institution. Candidates must provide proof of enrolment each year along with the payment instruction details where relevant.
